Between the genome and the protein sits RNA — the cell’s messenger, and until recently the layer our models could barely read. 2025–2026 changed that on both sides: RNA now has its own AlphaFold-style structure predictor, and a new class of generative models designs functional RNAs — guide RNAs, aptamers, whole transcripts — from scratch, some already validated at the bench.
