nanobodies that were &lt;em>experimentally validated&lt;/em> — but a lab that &amp;ldquo;picks its own questions and needs no
scientists&amp;rdquo; &lt;strong>doesn&amp;rsquo;t exist&lt;/strong>. Autonomy still &amp;ldquo;fails on open-ended judgment and ambiguous results.&amp;rdquo;
The credible model, in their words, is &amp;ldquo;a &lt;strong>closed loop with a human in charge of the science&lt;/strong>.&amp;rdquo;
&lt;strong>Why it matters for the lab:&lt;/strong> that sentence could be &lt;a href="https://aicell.io/project/reef-imaging-farm/">REEF&lt;/a>&amp;rsquo;s design

and a scientist, and a wet lab, decide what&amp;rsquo;s real.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>The froth is clearing, the rulebook is being written, and the honest verdict on autonomy is &amp;ldquo;powerful,
narrow, and human-supervised.&amp;rdquo; None of that is bad news for a lab whose whole thesis is open
infrastructure and validated loops — if anything, it&amp;rsquo;s the field catching up to how we already work.&lt;/p>
